Abstract

One of the companies engaged in the beverage sector that is growing rapidly in Indonesia is PT Food and Beverage Indonesia or better known as Chatime. Welfare as referred to in Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower at least contains several important points, including wages or salaries, job training, social security, holiday allowances, bonuses, worker cooperatives, an adequate working climate or atmosphere. At PT Food and Beverage, employee welfare is considered very lacking due to the limited number of employees at each outlet due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Several points and the nominal salary that is not in line with employee expectations are considered a factor in decreasing employee productivity.
Based on these problems, this study aims to identify and describe as well as provide suggestions and recommendations for efforts to improve employee welfare at PT Food and Beverage Indonesia because this PT has been very popular with the public.
This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods and data analysis using the Miles Huberman method in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The data was obtained based on the results of interviews, documentation and observations of employee job desks in one of the Chatime stores. This research was conducted on 10 research informants, including 3 outlet managers, 2 outlet managers and assistants and 5 barista representatives or chatime crew.
The results showed that the welfare efforts of PT. Food and Beverages Indonesia has done a lot. This is evidenced through the data and the fact that there are several things that burden employees during operations such as job desks and overtime work.
