Abstract
The high public interest in food and beverages, which can be seen directly from the lifestyle of people who prefer ready-to-eat food, makes the growth rate of the foodand beverage sector, which in 2020 was weakened due to Covid-19, can improve againentering 2021. Apart from the public's interest in food and beverage, in recent years thepublic has also been interested in stock investment, as evidenced by the number ofinvestors of 8.20% (ksei.co.id). The high public interest in food and beverages, which canbe seen directly from the lifestyle of people who prefer ready-to-eat food, makes thegrowth rate of the food and beverage sector, which in 2020 was weakened due to Covid19,can improve again entering 2021. Apart from the public's interest in food andbeverage, in recent years the public has also been interested in stock investment, asevidenced by the number of investors of 8.20% (ksei.co.id). The data analysis techniques used in this study are descriptive statistical tests, classical assumption tests (normality test, multicholinearity test, heteroskedasticity test, and autocorrelation test), model accuracy test (F test and t test), determination coefficienttest and multiple linear regression test. As for the results of the study based on the F test, from the two variables of human capital (VAHU) and profitability (ROA) showed theresults that human capital and profitability affect stock returns. Based on the t test, thehuman capital variable (VAHU) affects stock returns, while the profitability variable (ROA)has no effect on stock returns, and from the coeffisients test results show that only thehuman capital variable has a dominant effect on stock returns
