Abstract
This research is motivated by the emergence of many crime cases that have recentlyoccurred in society, such as robbery, murder and sexual violence. The Police Institution isone of the agencies that plays an important role in handling crime cases that occur in thecommunity. It takes a good performance in overcoming this problem. Performance is acondition that must be informed to parties within an agency to determine the level ofachievement in carrying out work programs in accordance with the vision and missionthat exist within the agency. Performance plays an important role in the continuity of anorganization. This research was conducted to test whether there is an influence ofOrganizational Culture, Individual Character and Career Development on thePerformance produced by Satreskrim in Polresta Malang City. The population in thisstudy amounted to 71 members of the Malang City Police Criminal Investigation Unit. Thesample of this study used the slovin formula, so the sample was determined to be 60members of the criminal and detective units of the Malang Kota resort police. This studyused a quantitative approach and the data in this study were obtained throughquestionnaires that had been filled out by predetermined respondents. The data analysismethod used was multiple linear regression analysis, classical assumption test andhypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that organizational culture and careerdevelopment have a positive but not significant effect on personnel performance andindividual character has a positive and significant effect on personnel performance. Theindividual character variable is a variable that has a dominant influence on theperformance produced by the Criminal Investigation Unit and the Malang Kota ResortPolice. Employee performance can be improved by optimizing existing character buildingprograms within the agency
