Abstract

With the existence of faculties and study programs opened by Merdeka University of Malang and several existing facilities, it automatically encourages the number of students and ownership of vehicles will increase every year. Because most academic civility uses private vehicles as a means of transportation on campus. This causes the University of Merdeka Malang to have facilities to meet the course of academic civility, one of which is by providing spatial planning to meet the needs of parking lots. With the problems that occur, it becomes the basis for making this Final Project. It is hoped that this research can identify the performance of motorcycle and car forecasting in the Merdeka University area of Malang, so that it can provide solutions about effective parking and provide an overview of parking space needs that can meet existing users. The method used with the Z formula approach with actual conditions in the field, the data obtained from the survey results in the field is then processed using a computer / laptop. To find the results of the data obtained is to match the police number of the incoming vehicle with the police number of the outgoing vehicle, as well as the duration of parking, which is used to find out the value of the Parking Space Unit. For 2022 parking spaces in each Faculty can still meet existing parking needs, but in 2029 there will be a shortage of 45 SRP and in 2030 145 SRP, especially in the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Socio-Political Sciences, while in the Faculty of Information Technology there is a shortage of 99 SRP in 2030.
