Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the description of work stress in interns in the program implementation and community service division at Ruang Belajar Aqil. This study used a phenomenological approach, with four respondents. The data collection method used semi-structured interviews. The data analysis technique used phenomenological data analysis. The results of credibility showed that interns experienced two types of work stress, namely eustress and distress, factors causing work stress in interns include, excessive workload, working hours, work conflict, unsuitable majors, role ambiguity, limited access to transportation, and work that is not in accordance with planning. Symptoms shown by interns include physical and mental symptoms. Work stress also has an impact on interns such as on work performance, quality of life, and interpersonal relationships of interns. This study can provide information about the conditions of work stress that occur in interns, so that interns can manage stress well.
