Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between spirituality and stress among final-year university students working on their undergraduate thesis in Malang City. The research employed a quantitative correlational approach with accidental sampling, involving 100 student respondents. The instruments used were the spirituality scale (α = 0.902) and the stress scale (α = 0.900). Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed a significant negative relationship between spirituality and stress (β = -0.329; p < 0.05), indicating that the higher the level of students' spirituality, the lower the level of stress they experience during the thesis-writing process. Spirituality contributed 10.8% to the variance in stress levels. These findings suggest that spirituality serves as an effective internal coping mechanism to help students manage academic pressure. Therefore, it is recommended that educational institutions consider integrating spiritual development programs to support students' mental well-being.
