Abstract
Vocational High School students are vulnerable to experiencing low self-regulated learning due to a lack of learning motivation so that they tend to rely on teacher direction and lack initiative in managing and completing assignments independently. The aim of this study was to ascertain whether self-regulated learning and motivation are related in Amanah Husada Health Vocational School students in grades X and XI. The research methodology used in this study is quantitative correlational. Using a saturated sample data collection technique, the study's sample consisted of 85 Amanah Husada Health Vocational School grade X and XI students. Likert scales were used as the measuring instruments for motivation and self-regulated learning. Both the self-regulated learning scale and the learning desire scale have reliability coefficients of 0.755 and 0.797, respectively. With a significance value of 0.00 <0.05 with a correlation of 4,45 the hypothesis was evaluated using a simple linear regression test, which produced positive results. Therefore, it may be said that learning freedom and learning motivation are related. Because of this positive association, self-regulated learning will increase with increased learning motivation and vice versa. The results of this study are expected to increase students' and teachers' awareness of the importance of increasing learning motivation in forming learning independence so that this will create a more conducive educational environment, where students not only have enthusiasm for learning, but are also able to manage and direct their self-regulated learning.
