Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between psychological well being and celebrity worship among BTS fans in the city of Malang. The research method used is quantitative. The sampling technique was non-probability sampling of 100 respondents, namely early adult BTS fans in the city of Malang. The psychological scale data collection method refers to the Likert scale. Psychological well being scale items (45 valid) and celebrity worship (41 valid) with a reliability coefficient of 0.930 for psychological well being and 0.919 for celebrity worship. Data analysis using product moment correlation via SPSS. Based on the hypothesis test, it is known that the correlation index is -0.736 and the significance value is 0.0000 (p < 0.05). This shows that there is a negative relationship between psychological well being and celebrity worship, meaning that the higher the level of psychological well being, the lower the level of celebrity worship, if celebrity worship is higher, the level of psychological well being will be low.
