Abstract

This study aims to determine the presence or absence of the influence of self-compassion on body dissatisfaction in early adult female Tiktok users. The research method used is quantitative correlational. The sampling technique is accidental sampling with 100 early adult female respondents who are Tiktok users. The method of psychological data collection using self-compassion scale 33 AITEM valid with a reliability of (α=0.922) and body dissatisfaction scale 36 AITEM valid with a reliability of (α=0.937) which refers to the Likert method. The results of the hypothesis test conducted using a simple linear regression analysis showed a significance score of 0.000 (sig. < 0.05), so it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. The results of statistical calculations using the coefficient of determination R square of 0.587 which implies the influence of the independent variable (self-compassion) on the dependent variable (body dissatisfaction) of 58.7%.
