Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of growth mindset on academic grit in students who are active in organizations. The subjects in this research were students who were active in organizations in 2022/2023 both on campus and off campus in Malang City, involving 100 respondents. This research is a type of quantitative research with a non-probability sampling technique according to the characteristics that have been prepared. The method used in sampling is purposive sampling. The data collection process uses a growth mindset scale instrument and academic grit in the form of a Likert Scale. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using a simple linear regression test, the results showed a linear influence between growth mindset on academic grit and a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.814, which means that the influence of growth mindset on academic grit is 81.4%. The meaning of the correlation is that the higher the growth mindset, the higher the academic grit, the lower the growth mindset, the lower the academic grit.
