Abstract

Success in achieving achievements in any field is everyone's dream. Achievement is not only seen in the academic field but also in the field of work or career achievements. In general, the achievement of achievement will provide individual satisfaction. But there is a phenomenon where not all achievements can give satisfaction. The impostor phenomenon is a syndrome called impostor syndrome or impostor phenomenon, where individuals with psychological conditions are unable to believe in an achievement or success that has been achieved. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of self-esteem on the impostor phenomenon in early adulthood. This study uses a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression analysis technique. The measurement tools used are the modified Coopersmith Self-esteem Inventory (CSEI) scale and the Clance Impostor Phenomenon Scale (CIPS). The population in this study was early adults aged 18 - 25 years, the sample used was 271. Sampling used incidental sampling techniques. The results of the data analysis stated that there was an effect of 10,537,973 with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Based on the results obtained that self-esteem can influence the impostor phenomenon.
