Abstract
This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-control and social media addiction tendencies on TikTok among young adults. Using a correlational quantitative approach, the research involved 107 respondents aged 18-25 years, selected through accidental sampling. Data were collected using self-control and social media addiction scales with high reliability. The results of simple linear regression analysis showed a significant negative relationship between self-control and social media addiction tendencies, with a determination coefficient of 43.9%. These findings indicate that higher levels of self-control are associated with lower tendencies toward TikTok addiction. This study contributes to understanding the psychological factors influencing excessive social media use among early adulthood.
