Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of depressive tendencies on suicidal ideation in adolescents in Central Java. This research method uses quantitative correlation, with a total of 400 respondents. Pample determination using accidental sampling technique. The measuring instruments used were the Beck Depression Inventory II scale (α = 0.974) and the Suicidal Ideation Scale (α = 0.964). Data analysis techniques using simple linear regression. The results of the analysis showed R2 =0.746, β = 0.86 (p=0.00) <0.05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is a positive influence between depressive tendencies and suicidal ideation in adolescents in Central Java.
