Abstract
Students who always set standards that are too high and unrealistic in achieving goals tend to easily experience academic stress. This is caused by feelings that tend to always worry, full of pressure, and react negatively in achieving perfect goals. This study aims to scientifically examine the influence of perfectionism with student academic stress. The sample of this study was 100 students in Malang City. The sampling technique was determined using simple random sampling. The scales used in this study are MPS and SSI. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression test. Based on the hypothesis test conducted, it is known that the significant value is 0.000 < 0.05 with a correlation coefficient value of β 0.558, so it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted, which means that there is a positive influence between perfectionism and academic stress on students in Malang City.
