Abstract
Students are in a developmental phase that is vulnerable to pressure, both from academic, social, and personal aspects. This pressure can affect the psychological well-being of students, which is marked by low life satisfaction, motivation, and emotional management. One of the factors that plays a role in maintaining psychological we/I-being is hardiness, which is a resilient personality capable of turning pressure into opportunities for growth. This study aims to determine the relationship between hardiness and psychological well-being among students in the city of Malang. A quantitative approach with a correlational method is used in this research, involving 350 students selected using accidental sampling technique. The instruments used are the psychological well-being scale and the hardiness scale. The results of the regression test indicate a significant positive relationship (/3 = 0.531) between hardiness and psychological well-being with a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05) and a contribution of (R 2 = 0.282) 28.2%. This means that the higher the level of hardiness among students, the higher their level of psychological well-being. The implications of these findings highlight the importance of developing hardiness in students, such as the ability to commit, control situations, and view challenges as opportunities, in order to enhance resilience and psychological well-being in facing the pressures of academic life.
