Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and moral intelligence in adolescents aged 12 to 15 years in Malang City. In this context, social support is defined as assistance or attention provided by family, friends, and society, which can help individuals in overcoming problems and difficulties. Meanwhile, moral intelligence is the ability of individuals to distinguish between right and wrong and act in accordance with internalized moral principles. The research method used is a quantitative approach with incidental sampling techniques, involving 100 respondents. The measuring instruments used are the social support scale and the moral intelligence scale, both of which show good reliability (0.812 for social support and 0.880 for moral intelligence). The results of the regression analysis showed that there was a significant positive relationship between social support and moral intelligence, with a significance value of p <0.01. This means that the higher the social support received by adolescents, the better the level of moral intelligence shown. This study emphasizes the importance of social support in shaping and improving adolescent moral intelligence, as well as the need for collaboration between families, schools, and communities to create an environment that supports moral development.
