Abstract

Final-level students are students who are at the end of the study. The student's final period is required to create a final task or thesis for graduation requirements and must be completed within a predetermined time. The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is a connection between self-efficacy and academic stress in students who work on scrispy at Merdeka University in Malang. This study used an online survey method to collect data. The population in this study was students who were working on thesis at Merdeka University as a population of 1,610 people, with a sample of 91 respondents. The data collection process in this study used two scales, the self-efficacy scale and the academic stress scale. The statistical data analysis used in this study was simple linear regression and showed a calculation result of -1.077 with a sig value. 0.000 (p< 0.05). Based on the results of the data analysis conducted, it can be seen that there is a negative relationship between self-efficacy and academic stress in students who are working on the thesis. The results of this study show that the lower the self- efficacy, the higher the academic stress on students. Similarly, the higher the self-efficacy, the lower the academic stress in students who are working on the thesis.
