Abstract

Students' inability to supervise and organize themselves in handling and accomplishing their assignments to completion encourages them to neglect their work. This is due to students' lack of abilities in directing and making decisions in carrying out their learning priority scale. This happened to the participants of Program Zenius Studi Independen Batch II. 331 of the 1533 participants were declared inactive, as evidenced by low enthusiasm and involvement in mentoring activities, as well as postponements in submitting assignments. The purpose of
this study is to identify the role of self-regulated learning on task commitment and how significant self-regulated learning has a role on task commitment of participants in Program Zenius Studi Independen Bersertifikat Batch II using quantitative research methods with a correlational approach. According to the results of the simple linear regression analysis, the resulting significance value is
less than the probability value of 0.000 > 0.05, with a self-regulated learning regression coefficient value of 0.678. Meanwhile, the coefficient of determination (R Square) has been calculated to be 0.618. As a result, it can be concluded that self-regulated learning has a positive role on task commitment, with a percentage of the role of self-regulated learning on task commitment of 61.8%.
