Abstract
Performance is the result of work achieved by individuals or groups within an organization. One of the factors that can affect performance is work motivation. Work motivation is an encouragement from an individual to get the job done. This study aims to determine the relationship between work motivation and perceived performance at the State Civil Apparatus of the Ponorogo Regency Transportation Office. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach by measuring work motivation and performance scales. This research data analysis uses simple regression analysis. The sample technique used was saturated sample technique by involving all members of the population as a sample of 75 people. The results showed that work motivation and performance in the moderate category. The results of simple regression analysis show a significance value of 0.001 < 0,005. Work motivation has a positive effect on performance with R results of 0.143 which means that work motivation affects perceived performance by 14.3%. This shows that the attachment of work motivation to the perception of performance in the State Civil Apparatus of the Ponorogo Regency Transportation Office is quite good. The characteristics of employees who have good performance are having confidence, being responsible, liking work, being able to solve problems, having competence, and visionary individuals. 2
