Abstract

This study aims to find out the relationship between authoritarian leadership and hardiness on caregivers at the X Social Foundation. Focusing on the role of authoritarian leadership in shaping the level of stress resistance to caregivers, this study involved 53 individuals as the main population. The research method used is quantitative with the Pearson product-moment approach and Saturated Sampling technique. Research findings show that around 65.5% of caregivers feel pressured due to work environment regulations. Correlation and regression analysis revealed a positive relationship (no correlation) between authoritarian leadership and hardiness in caregivers (correlation coefficient 0.094). So the results of this study indicate that caregivers tend to develop a better level of stress resistance when working under authoritarian leadership. The implication of these findings is the need to develop training that can help caregivers manage stress and strengthen the level of resilience to work pressure, so that stress management, psychological support, and promotion of healthy lifestyles are effective solutions for improving the welfare of caregivers at the X Social Foundation
