Abstract

Agenting behavior is defined as a can-undermine behavior and haming others. Example of unusual aggression is beating and slap, insurance and threats, and spreading gossip. In addition, vandalism, lies, and movements aimed at harming others are all competitive. Music is an art that describes the thanking and human feelings through the sound beauty in the form of melody, rhythm, and harmony. As humans use word to move a concept, he also uses the composition of the voice to uncover his inner feelings. Music comes from creation and the human taste for the life of the world. Aggressiveness may appear in aggressive thoughts, perceptions, and behavior. In metal music performances, musicians and audiences will show aggressive behavior, such as hitting, rapidly nodded, and shouting hard. This energy can be generated from the musical lyrics of the metal music. The purpose of this study is to know the effect of intensity of listening to metal music against teenager aggressive behavior in Malang City. Methods of data collection in this study using scale method. The population intended in this study was all the teenagers in the City of Malang, which amounted to 1.500 teenagers. The sample used in this study amounted to 75 subjects, ages 12-24 years. Researchers use accidental sampling techniques. Based on the results of the hypothesis test that the manager has managed, there is an influence between the intensity of listening to metal music with aggressive behavior, with significance value (Sig.) 0,027 is smaller than 0,05, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of the intensity of listening to metal music (X) against aggressive behavior (Y).
