Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of emotion regulation on job stress in employees of PT X in Batam city. This research method is quantitative. The sample used in this research was 270 respondents with accidental sampling technique. Data collection using two scales, namely Emotion Regulation Questionnare (ERQ) and Job Stress. Data analysis was performed with simple regression analysis. The results of data analysis showed a significant value (0.000) <0.05 with a negative coefficient value of r = - 0.632. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant influence between emotional regulation on work stress in PT X employees with a negative direction of influence, meaning that the higher the emotional regulation, the lower the job stress in PT X employees
