Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the influence of social media usage intensity on thetrust of Generation Z towards the Indonesian government. This research employeda quantitative approach, initially assessing the classical assumptions of normalityand linearity before hypothesis testing. Hypothesis testing was conducted usingsimple linear regression analysis. The research sample consisted of 100Generation Z individuals coverage conducted online using a non-probabilitysampling technique, namely purposive sampling. Data analysis revealed a positiverelationship between social media usage intensity and trust, with an effect size of4.2%. Although relatively small, this finding underscores the significant role ofsocial media in shaping the perceptions and trust of Generation Z towardsgovernment performance
