Abstract

This study aims to determine how much education / training, salary, and rankaffect the work motivation of civil servants and their implications for service deliveryin BKPSDM Malang City.This research is a quantitative associative research and is conducted at the CivilService Agency and Human Resources of Malang City. The total population is 45employees, and at the time of the questionnaire there were only 40 respondents whoregistered with it. The data in this study were taken using a questionnaire dividedinto 4 questions regarding education / training, salary, rank and work motivation andinterviews and documentation data regarding these four variables. Then the datafrom this questionnaire is used for the analysis technique used in testing thehypothesis is the multiple linear regression analysis technique.The results showed that: (1) Education / training, salary and rank simultaneously(F test) show that together they have an effect on the work motivation of civil servantswhere the value of Fcount 32.526> Ftable 2.87 with a significant value of 0.000<0.05. And in the partial test (t test) of education / training and rank that affect civilservant work motivation, where education / training (X1) has a sig value of 0.028<0.05 which means it is influential, rank (X3) has a Sig value of 0.0002 <0 , 05which means it has an effect, while the salary (X2) has a value of 0.850> 0.05 whichmeans it has not been influential. (2) The most dominant independent variable ininfluencing the work motivation of civil servants in providing services is the Psngkstvariable (X3) which has a greater regression coefficient value of 0.489 with a t testresult of 3.424 compared to the Education / training variable (X1) having aregression coefficient of 0.220 and Salary (X2) have a coefficient of -0.026.
