Abstract

Yuliana Lamahoda with Student Identification Number (NIM) 17031000061 is a student of the Public Administration study program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Merdeka Malang conducting research with the title Online Learning During the Covid-19 Pandemic and accompanied by Prof. Dr. Bonaventura Ngw. , MS as the supervisor I and Mrs. DR. HJ. Sri Hartini Jatmikowati, M. Si as supervisor II. The Corona Virus Disease pandemic has devastated all activities in the world. The government has limited access to community activities in various fields to the education sector by issuing PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions) regulations. In the field of education, the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia has issued circular letter number 4 of 2020 regarding the implementation of education policies in the emergency period of the spread of the Coronavirus Disease which requires all forms of face-to-face school activities to be replaced with online learning methods from home. The obstacles faced in the implementation of online schools are unstable networks, students who do not understand technology and students find it difficult to describe the material, students do not have the enthusiasm to learn. Based on these problems, the school runs several supporting programs suchas training for students in the IT field and providing sleeping rooms for students to attend online schools. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data analysis using the Bodgam method in the form of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions and verification. This study aims to identify and describe as well as provide recommendations for the implementation of online schools during the pandemic by involving SMP Negeri 12 Malang as a research variable.
