Abstract

The development and use of web-based information technology is now increasingly widespread in various fields, including the business world. In terms of offices, marketing, administration, staffing and others are realized with the help of online systems. In addition to the business world, it also touches the processes at universities, including students, lecturers and staff so as to increase work effectiveness and efficiency. The Bureau of Student Affairs and Alumni is a work unit under the auspices of the rector and rector III. The process of managing correspondence at the Bureau of Student Affairs & Alumni of Merdeka University of Malang so far is still recording it in the ledger. So a web-based application system using PHP and MySQL Database is needed which is expected to facilitate the archiving process. Based on the research, one conclusion can be drawn, namely that the website-based letter management information system that was built can be used effectively and supports the administrative work system of the Bureau of Student Affairs and Alumni of Merdeka University Malang. And this website can be developed again according to the needs of the Bureau of Student Affairs and Alumni of the Merdeka University of Malang and carry out regular updates and maintenance.
