Abstract

Highways are a means of land transportation that has an important role inhuman life, especially for economic and socio-cultural growth to supportnational development. To facilitate community mobility so that they can provide good services according to the required capacity, if road damage occurs, community activities will be hampered, causing accidents. The aim ofthis research is to determine the types of damage and the index value of the West Bandulan road pavement, so that the condition index value for the West Bandulan road section can be obtained based on the specified method. The method used is the PCI method (Pavement Condition Index). The assessment of road conditions using the PCI method is by ranking from 0-100. The types of damage found on the 0.5km (500M) West Bandulan road include Crocodile Skin Cracks (0.71%), Subsidence (5.30%), Curly Cracks (0.98%), Holes (0.45%), Patches (2.15%). The results of data analysis showed that the levelof damage on the West Bandulan road section 0+000 – STA 0+500 was moderate, with an overall PCI value of 61.8. From the calculation of eachsample unit per 100 m, And the treatment that is needed is that the road is in Patches and Added Layers (overlay).
