Abstract

This research aims to analyze the financial conditions experienced by automotive companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) using the Altman Z-Score method for the period 2018-2022. The study employs a quantitative research design with a sample of 11 automotive companies listed on the IDX for the period 2018-2022. The data source used is secondary data, consisting of financial reports listed on the IDX for the period 2018-2022. The research findings reveal that three companies consistently fall into the "Healthy" category throughout the period, namely PT. Indospring Tbk, PT. Multi Prima Sejahtera Tbk, and PT. Selamat Sempurna Tbk. Despite PT. Indospring Tbk being in the "Grey Area" zone in 2022 and PT. Selamat Sempurna Tbk in 2020. Six companies are classified as being in the "Grey Area" category, namely PT. Astra International Tbk, PT. Astra Otoparts Tbk, PT. Mitra Pinasthika Mustika Tbk, PT. Gajah Tunggal Tbk, PT. Garuda Metalindo Tbk, and PT. Bintraco Dharma Tbk. Two companies are in the category of potentially bankrupt, namely PT. Indomobil Sukses and PT. Prima Alloy Steel Universal Tbk.
