Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of environmental social governance (ESG) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) on stock returns. This research takes objects in food and beverage companies listed on the IndonesiaStock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2018-2022. The population in this study were 35 food and beverage companies, while the sample was obtained using purposive sampling method based on predetermined criteria, so that a sample of 13 food and beverage companies was obtained. The dependent variable in this study is stockreturn, while the independent variables are environmental social governance (ESG) and corporate social responsibility (CSR). The data analysis method uses multiple linear analysis, F test, t test and the coefficient of determination which is tested using the classical assumption test. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously environmental social governance (ESG) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) have a significant effect on stock returns of food and beverage companies for the 2018-2022 period. Partially environmental social governance(ESG) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) have a significant effect on stock returns.
