Abstract

The development of the world of Islamic banking is increasing in the Indonesian community, making the need for competent human resources in the field of Islamiceconomics increase. This is of course a special concern for the banking industry as theowner of the company. In addition, the lack of human resources in the field of Islamiceconomics which is not comparable to the needs in the banking industry raises separatequestions about public trust as potential customers because it is related to thecompetencies possessed by employees in Islamic banking. Therefore it is necessary toknow how the role of Islamic economic education in the performance of the Islamicbanking industry. And as a form of facility to support performance in accordance with theoperational standards of sharia-based companies, it is necessary to conduct training forsharia banking employees.This study aims to examine how the influence of Education (X1) and Training(X2) on the performance of employees at Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Batu City. Thesample in this study were all employees from Bank Muamalat, Batu City, with a totalsample of 38 people. Information and data collection was carried out by distributingquestionnaires and direct interviews with several employees of Bank Muamalat, BatuCity. This type of research is quantitative research using multiple linear regressionanalysis with the SPSS calculating tool. From the results of the research that has beendone, it is found that the effect of education on the performance of Islamic banking has anegative and partially insignificant effect on the performance of employees in the BankMuamalat area of Batu City. In contrast to the role of training which has a positive andsignificant influence on the performance of employees of Bank Muamalat, Batu City. TheT test obtained a sig of Education 0,487 and training obtained a sig of training 0,000 onemployee performance.So it can be concluded that the role of education (X1) partially has a negative andnot significant effect on the performance of employees of Bank Muamalat, Batu City. Andtraining has a positive and significant impact on the performance of employees of BankMuamalat, Batu City. While simultaneously the Education and Training factor has apositive and significant influence on the performance of employees of Bank MuamalatKota Batu
