Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of workload on job satisfaction, workload has an effect on work stress, work stress has an effect on job satisfaction and workload by mediating work stress has an effect on job satisfaction in the Office Employees of the Batu City Leadership Protocol Section. This study used quantitative research with descriptive data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression analysis. This analysis is used to measure the independent effect of workload by mediating work stress on job satisfaction with the help of SPSS Version 26.0 software. The number of samples is 40 employees. The respondents in this study were all employees of the Batu Regional Leadership Protocol Section (Pemkot Batu). Determination of the sample using a saturated sample technique which takes the entire existing population. Data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The test results show that: the workload variable has no significant effect on employee job satisfaction. The test results were obtained by testing the hypothesis. workload variable on work stress mediation has no significant effect. the mediating variable of job stress on job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. the workload variable mediated by work stress has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. The test results obtained the beta coefficient value of the workload variable (X1) on job satisfaction (Y2).
