Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of the Board of Directors, Board of Commissioners and Audit Committee on Profitability in Consumer Goods sector companies listed on LQ45 and those that are not listed on LQ45. This research has a type of quantitative research using secondary data. Sampling was carried out using the purposive sampling method, with the criteria of Consumer Goods sector companies that are listed on LQ45 and those that are not listed on LQ45, five (5) companies that have the largest total assets in 2021, respectively, and companies that consistently publish reports annual report for the 2015-2021 period and has a complete annual report relating to the frequency of meeting attendance. So that a sample of 70 was obtained from 10 Consumer Goods sector companies listed on LQ45 and those not listed on LQ45 for the 2015-2021 period. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis, F test, and t test. The results of the study show that the Board of Directors has a significant positive effect on Profitability in consumer goods sector companies listed on LQ45, while the Board of Commissioners and the Audit Committee have a significant negative effect on Profitability. The Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners have a significant negative effect on Profitability in Consumer Goods sector companies that are not listed on LQ45 while the Audit Committee has a significant positive effect on Profitability.
