Abstract

Education is defined as an effort to develop the potential of students carried out by teachersthrough guidance, teaching and training to help students understand the process of achievingthese goals. There are several things that affect the level of job satisfaction of a teacher, manyteachers often question their level of welfare such as salary that is still not enough. In addition,several factors such as leadership style, work environment can also affect a teacher's jobsatisfaction. The method used in this study was a quantitative method with a population of 65people from all teachers and employees at SMP N 1 Waingapu who were respondents. Theresults of this study show that leadership style has a calculated value of 1.714 with a significantvalue of 0.92 this result shows that leadership style does not have a significant effect on jobsatisfaction. while the work environment has a calculated t value of 4,362 with a significantvalue of 0.000 this result indicates that the work environment has a significant effect on jobsatisfaction The conclusion is that leadership style and environment both affect the jobsatisfaction of employees of SMP N 1 Waingapu. Leadership styles need to be improved sothat teacher job satisfaction increases while the work environment at SMP N 1 Waingapu canbe maintained. Fthe dominant actor that influences job satisfaction is the work environment
