Abstract
This study aims to describe competence, workload, and employee performance, determine the effect of competence and workload simultaneously on employee performance, determine the effect of competence and workload partially on employee performance, and determine the variables of competence and workload that have a dominant effect on performance. employee. The sample in this study involved 40 employees. Data analysis technique using multiple regression analysis.
The results of the descriptive analysis show that employee performance is shaped by the quality of work, quantity of work, execution of duties, and responsibilities. The main thing that can improve employee performance is responsibility, which is reflected in being able to carry out several tasks that are the responsibility. Competence is formed by motives, traits, self-concept, knowledge and skills. The main thing that can increase competency is the motive reflected in having a strong drive to meet economic needs. The workload is formed by targets to be achieved, working conditions and work standards. The main thing that can cause workload is the target that must be achieved which is reflected in having clear and measurable targets for work. Competence and workload partially on employee performance. Competence and workload simultaneously on employee performance. Competence has a dominant effect on employee performance.
