Abstract
Employee performance is a very important aspect in maintaining the competitiveness of an organization in an industry. Leadership style and work environment are two factors that can influence employee performance. The research method used in this research is a correlational quantitative method. This research aims to investigate the influence of leadership style and work environment on employee performance at Perumda Air Minum Tugu Tirta, Malang City. The sampling method uses the Slovin formula. The data used in this research is primary data, namely by distributing questionnaires or questionnaires in this research. The scale used in this research is the Likert scale. The population of this research is all active employees at the Tugu Water Drinking Company, Malang City. This research sample consisted of 73 active employees who worked at the company. In this research, 13 indicators were used, consisting of 24 statements from each indicator in the research used and the results of the validity test were declared valid. The results of the leadership style reliability test and employee performance work environment can be seen from all questionnaire data to obtain reliable results. One of the data analysis methods used is the t test to determine the significant value of each variable studied. The research results show that leadership style and work environment have a significant influence on employee performance. The implication of these findings is the importance of effective human resource management in improving employee performance by paying attention to these factors. It is hoped that this research can contribute to improving management strategies and company policies to achieve optimal performance
