Abstract
The limitations in access and mobility are the most common challenges faced by people with disabilities, such as the visually impaired. Although conventional assistive tools have been used by the visually impaired, they still have shortcomings. Therefore, there is a need for an application that can assist the visually impaired in navigation, enabling them to navigate seamlessly. Peta Netra is an application designed to facilitate users in determining directions. The goal of this research is to identify how to design the user interface of the Peta Netra application to reduce discomfort, increase user satisfaction, and facilitate transactions for people with visual impairments in society. The research approach used in this study is design thinking. Data collection procedures in this research include observation, interviews, documentation, and SUS questionnaires. The results of this research indicate that after evaluating the Peta Netra application, respondents suggested adding a currency detection feature as a tool for daily transactions. With this feature, the visually impaired can carry out daily activities like normal individuals and experience the benefits of advancing technology. The analysis and testing of data using the System Usability Scale (SUS) show that the application received a final score of 83, which means it falls into the category of "best imaginable" or "excellent" with a grade B. Therefore, in terms of usability, this application is considered excellent and highly suitable for use.
