Abstract

Roads are infrastructure built to facilitate regional development. Good road conditions will certainly provide a sense of comfort to every vehicle that will pass through it, for that maintenance and observation of road conditions need to be done where the road is an important factor in the life of the community's economic movement. This research was conducted on Hassanudin Simpang Raya road, Barong Tonggok District, West Kutai Regency. The length of Hassanudin Simpang Raya road, Barong Tonggok District, West Kutai Regency is 3,300 m and the width is 7.90 m. The study was conducted using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method by dividing each segment into several sample units, in this study the sample units were divided every distance of 0-100 meters. From the evaluation results obtained damage to Hasanudin road, it can be seen that the total damage that occurred was 132.61 m2. And the largest type of damage is Patch, with an area of 74.39 m2 (56.10%). Based on the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method, it shows that the road condition value or Hasanudin road PCI value is 88.6 which is included in the pavement quality classification with Very Good level. Based on the PCI value, the appropriate type of maintenance for Hasanudin road is a routine maintenance program. Damage to Jalan Hassanudin shows that the PCI value is 88.6 which is included in the Very Good pavement quality classification, so there is no need for an overlay.
