Abstract

With the operation of the Dara Terminal which does not comply with the terminal type classification standards, the service at Dara Terminal is not optimal. To be able to maximize the service at the terminal, it is necessary to have a balance between terminal capacity, terminal facilities and vehicles and visitors entering the terminal. This research was conducted at Dara Terminal Bima city, aiming to determine the suitability of Dara Terminal as a type A terminal based on the regulations of the Director General of Land Transportation such as the feasibility of main facilities and supporting facilities, technical requirements for the location of the terminal, as well as reviewing the current performance of Dara Terminal. The method used in this study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Based on the research results, the existing conditions at Dara Terminal have not met the standard type A terminal. This is because at Dara Terminal there are several facilities that are not suitable or are still lacking that should exist at a type A passenger terminal, such as the division of parking spaces according to routes, parking spaces for private vehicles, platforms, waiting rooms, rest rooms, parking areas and several main facilities and other supporting facilities that do not meet standards. For services at Dara Terminal it is still lacking, this can be seen that there is no division of special parking lots so it is not arranged according to the direction or route because there are still many vehicles parked carelessly and for the circulation of people and vehicle circulation it is not optimally regulated because there are still many vehicles the raising and lowering of passengers is not in place even outside the terminal.
