Abstract
This study aims to analyz the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) in the construction of the 4-storey building, Office Building Sunset Sepinggan, and evaluate how the results of these two analyses can be used to
ecommend more sustainable and economical design and construction practices. Through the LCA approach, this study calculates material costs, transportation costs, and heavy equipment usage costs, as well as the resulting carbon dioxide emissions.
The results of the study show that the largest emissions are generated from the production of concrete materials f'c 30 MPa, with a total emission of 1,157 tons. LCC analysis focuses on work that requires maintenance, specifically architectural
work. The calculation results show that wall finishing work has the lowest maintenance cost, with a proportion of initial cost of 74.84% and maintenance cost of 25.16%. Overall, the average initial cost and maintenance cost on this project are
81.97% and 18.02%. The results of this study also reveal the potential for carbon emission efficiency through the substitution of primary materials with steel or mild
steel, which is designed with a minimalist concept. The implementation of LCA and LCC can be the basis for recommending construction methods that are more
environmentally friendly and economical compared to conventional methods
