Abstract

The increasing use of reinforcement steel materials, making steel has a high price. In addition, steel is a material that cannot be renewed. It requires development actors to look for alternative materials to replace steel reinforcements that are easy to find and can be renewed. One alternative is bamboo. Bamboo has a hard and tenacious texture, has a strong pull strong enough to be good enough to compensate
for the shaken nature of concrete. The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of spacing of transverse bamboo bones on the strong pressing of unfettered concrete with bamboo elongated reinforcement.
In this study, it aims to find out the effect of bamboo transverse bone spacing on strong concrete press constrained with bamboo elongated reinforcement. Strong
concrete axial press with spacing variations of transverse bamboo reinforcement with spacing of 20 mm, spacing 40 mm and spacing 70 mm. Test objects with a size of ø11 x 30 (t) cm each variable 3 test objects with a total number of 9 test objects. The tests carried out on unfettered concrete are strong concrete axial press using UTM (Universal Testing Machine, ASTM C-192) test equipment.
Based on the results of the tests conducted obtained that the strong axial press of unfettered concrete with theoretical bamboo bony is greater in value compared to the strong press concrete reinforced bamboo experimental with spacing variations of 20 mm, spacing 40 mm and spacing 70 mm. At spacing variation 20 mm strong axial press experimetal concrete averages 15.88 Mpa strong theoretical concrete press 22.77 Mpa, spacing variation 40 mm strong axial press experimetal concrete average 13.91Mpa strong theoretical concrete press 18.22 Mpa, spacing variation
70 mm strong axial press experimetal concrete average 11.39 Mpa strong theoretical concrete press 16.65 Mpa. It has a difference of 28.38% for spacing of 20 mm, 23.64% for spacing of 40 mm, and 31.61% for spacing of 70 mm
