Abstract

Parking is a problem that is often encountered, especially in locations that have high activity such as schools / colleges, the availability of parking spaces at schools / colleges is often insufficient to meet the parking space requirements needed. So it is necessary to need Management of the need for parking space.
In carrying out parking lot management, it begins with the preparatory stage which in-cludes, literature search activities that follow the 1998 Directorate General of Land Transpor-tation Guidelines. After that, conducting a preliminary survey, as well as collecting and col-lecting data consisting of primary data (field surveys include: Number of incoming vehicles,number of outgoing vehicles, and the area of the parking lot) and secondary data (from related agencies including: parking lot plans and data on the number of students).
The results of this study obtained parking characteristics which included: parking du-ration for two-wheeled vehicles of 549 minutes, as many as 99 vehicles were in the Faculty ofEconomics. The maximum parking volume of 214 vehicles is at the Faculty of Economics.
The maximum parking index of 0.356% is at the Faculty of Law. The need for parking space is 92 vehicles at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
