Abstract
Kepi Airport in South Papua is one of the airports located in Mappi Regency, South Papua Province, is expected to be a development pathways in Mappi Regency in terms of air transportation, considering that currently access can only be
reached using air transportation because access through land transportation has not been built. therefore development is needed in order to fulfill comfortable access. Kepi Airport plans to develop existing facilities such as the Apron, in order to provide the needs of parking lots for larger aircraft such as the ATR 72-600. The FFA method and Faarfield Application are used to analyze the need for
the existing apron to be used in the next 20 years. In the analysis with the FAA method shows 35.4 cm smaller than the existing pavement thickness of Kepi Airport
(56.5 cm). Meanwhhile, the thickness of the Apron pavement plan using the Faarfield method of 40.97 cm is also smaller than the existing pavement thickness of Kepi Airport (56.5 cm). However, both methods calculations have comformed
the flexible pavement standards according to KP 14 of 2021.
