Abstract

Structuring the market Structuring is a planning process in an effort to improve order, order and security. In the Malang City Regional Regulation (PERDA) Number 13 of 2019 concerning the Implementation of Trade and Industry Businesses, which aims to make traditional markets competitive with other markets modern, and in order to create a market environment that is healthy, clean and tidy. A healthy market environment is also able to provide good public services to the community.
The formulation of the problem in this study is how is the roleof the Malang City Market Service in the arrangement of traditional markets at Mergan Market, Klojen District, Malang City based on Malang City Regional Regulation No. 13 of 2019 concerning the Implementation of Trade and Industry Business.
This study uses a qualitative research type, with a descriptive approach. The data collection used is by using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. After the data is collected, the writer processes the data with data reduction, data presentation and conclusions.
The results of this study indicate that the role of the market office in the Department of Cooperatives, Industry and Trade of Malang City is still not maximized, namely by not achieving the role of the agency as an executor in structuring traditional markets.
