Abstract

Interrelated tourism development that aims to meet the needs of tourists in the implementation of tourism. Of course, in order to meet the needs of tourists in the implementation of tourism, cooperation from various parties is needed, including the local community, government, local government, and tourism entrepreneurs. The local community has an important role, especially for the development of the tourism industry. Even in the provisions of Article 5 of Law Number 10 of 2009 concerning Tourism, it can be seen that the principles in the implementation of tourism, one of which is empowering local communities.
The problem that then arises is that sometimes the development of the tourism industry is not directed at the development of sustainable tourism. This is indicated by the existence of several tourism supporting facilities that were built not in accordance with their designation.
The results of this study indicate that the community-based tourism development model emphasizes the role or active participation of the community in developing tourism. In fact, one of the goals of community-based tourism is to realize sustainable tourism development. Local communities have a very important role in realizing sustainable tourism. The role of the government, local governments, and tourism entrepreneurs is also very much needed to realize this Village community-based tourism development is carried out to increase community participation in tourism activities in the hope of providing benefits and impacts for the community in increasing the economy.
This study aims to explain the development model of Strawberry Picking tourism in Pandanrejo Tourism Village, Bumi Aji sub-district, Batu City and the impact of increasing the economy on the community. This research was conducted using a qualitative method by conducting interviews with relevant informants who participated in the development of strawberry picking tourism, both from village managers and the community. The results of this study indicate that there is a community-based tourism development model with 4 components that are the main things in tourism development and development, namely:
1 Development of Strawberry Picking Tourism
2 Development of Strawberry Picking Tourist Attractions
3 Development of Strawberry Picking Tourism Facilities
4 Involve community members in the development of strawberry picking tourism
This has an impact on increasing the economy of local communities in the form of creating job opportunities and business opportunities, increasing community income, and increasing the development of infrastructure around the village.
