Abstract

In the context of regional autonomy, efforts by local governments are needed in exploring and developing regional potential to obtain funds in connection with the implementation of government tasks and regional development. In the implementation of Regional Autonomy, the role of Regional Original Income is expected and sought to be the main buffer in financing development activities in the regions. One of the sources of PAD is from the parking levy,although it is not the main levy receipt, but the Malang City parking service levy has a fairly important role, namely as one of the contributors in the receipt of regional levies in particular and Regional Original Income in general. By looking at the acquisition of parking levies whose increase is not comparable to the increase in the number of motor vehicles. This is due to the lack of location monitoring and the number of illegal parking points in Malang City. Adanya potential parking levy that has not been fully explored by the Local Government, should make the area to be more improved, especially the Transportation Department which handles the issue of parking levy.
The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the efforts of the Malang City Transportation Agency in Increasing Parking Levies. The use of this research is as one of the inputs for the Malang City Government, especially the Transportation Agency in implementing the policy of collecting parking levies in Malang City.
The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. The techniques used in data collection are interviews, observations, and documents. The techniques used in data analysis are using data condensation techniques , data presentation, anddrawing conclusions. The location of this study is at the Malang City Transportation Office on Jl. Raden Intan No.1 Polowijen, Blimbing Malang City.
The results of the study show that the efforts of the Malang City Transportation Office in Increasing Parking Levy have been running well, but there are still some problems that occur inits implementation.
