Abstract

The Kayutangan Corridor is located along Jendral Basuki Rahmat Street, Malang, Indonesia. Kayutangan plays an essential role as a city landmark and city heritage with various urban activities. Thus, to intensify the value of the Kayutangan area, it must be balanced with the availability of facilities and infrastructure to present comfort and safety for its user, in this case pedestrians. This Final Report is intended to provide information on the current pedestrian way infrastructure and analyze the walkability of Kayutangan corridors so that the area of Kayutangan will have a better quality to support the urban element of Malang City. According to Indonesian Design Guidelines for pedestrian facilities number 02/SE/M/2018, there are four principles of an ideal pedestrian path: integration aspects, continuity aspects, safety aspects, and accessibility aspects. Through the analysis of four aspects by Indonesian Design Guidelines, found that pedestrian ways along the Kayutangan have complied with most of the provisions. Therefore, the level of walkability in the Kayutangan area is good. By this study, it is expected that the local government will pay more attention to walkability, not only in the Kayutangan area but also the
other areas of Malang City to realize a good and accessible pedestrian infrastructure for all citizens.
