Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between adversity quotient and work readiness among fresh graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Jawa Timur. This research employed a quantitative correlational method with a total of 384 respondents, selected using accidental sampling. The instruments used were the Work Readiness Scale (α = 0,869) and the Adversity Quotient Scale (α = 0,737). Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression. The analysis results showed a F value of 417,290 and an R² value of 0,521 (p = 0,00) < 0,05. It can be concluded that adversity quotient is significantly related to work readiness among fresh graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Jawa Timur. This study suggests that adversity quotient can predict the level of work readiness, highlighting the need to enhance adversity quotient through reflection training, challenge simulations, and career counseling in order to improve graduates’ work readiness.
