Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of self-efficacy on learning independence among students at Universitas Merdeka Malang. The research employed a quantitative approach. The sample was selected using an accidental sampling technique, involving 100 student participants. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire. The study utilized the self-efficacy scale developed by Putri and the learning independence scale adapted from Damanik. Hypothesis testing was conducted through a simple linear regression analysis, which yielded a regression coefficient of 0.567 with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). These results indicate that self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on students' learning independence at Universitas Merdeka Malang. Furthermore, self-efficacy contributes to 61% of the variance in learning independence. This research implies that self-efficacy plays a crucial role in fostering students' autonomous learning behavior.
