Abstract
The family is a place where the development of children occurs in an effort to make them mature individuals physically and psychologically. The reality in society, where children should get learning and coaching, actually gets violent behavior, both physical and psychological. This study aims to find out the picture of resilience in early adults who experience childhood violence and what factors affect resilience. This study uses a qualitative method with a total of three respondents. The technique of taking respondents uses samples with certain criteria (technique criterion sampling). The results of the study showed that: 1. In general, the three respondents already had good resilience, the three respondents had aspects of resilience based on Reivich and Shatte (2002), namely optimism, causal analysis, empathy, self-efficacy, and reaching out. The resilience factors expressed by Grotberg (1995) are, namely resilient individuals have extrenal support (I Have), individual personal strengths (I Am), and interpersonal abilities that individuals have (I Can). The impact of violence experienced by each subject began to decrease. They have started and can live a better life, try to be independent and take responsibility for their own lives. The three subjects in this study have resilience potential and can bounce back from a painful past.
