Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between religiosity and readiness to marry in emerging adulthood in Malang City. This study used a correlational quantitative method with a sample size of 100 respondents. Sampling determination using accidental sampling technique. The measuring instruments used were religiosity scale (α = 0.641) and marriage readiness scale (α = 0.619). Data analysis techniques using simple linear regression. The results of data analysis showed a regression coefficient (β) of 0.24 (p=0.016) <0.05, with a contribution of 57.4% (R2=0.574). Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between religiosity and marriage readiness in emerging adulthood in Malang City and religiosity affects marriage readiness by 57.4%, while the rest is influenced by other factors. The results of this study provide implications for efforts to increase marriage readiness in emerging adulthood individuals by increasing religiosity, by increasing understanding, belief, joint worship, personal worship, and practicing religious teachings.
